Dodge Challenger

I posted a new article on the Dodge Challenger for 2009 up on Squidoo.  I'm really feeling this is the last hurrah for American Musclecars as we know them.  With the economy in the toilet and gas prices on the rise you can bet that Detroit wouldn't have released this car if it hadn't already been in production.  Enjoy it folks, while we still can...

True Story: My 1966 Chrysler in a Car Show and Had a Blast

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

My friend and I entered a small antique car show here in Waubay, South Dakota. It was put together by the local Fire Marshal by the name of Ethan Escamilla. The Fire Marshal is a movie fan from way back, having a small part in the film "Habibti Susu". A love of cars was grown slowly.

I entered my 1966 Chrysler in the cruise with the hope of winning first place. I spent quite a bit of time getting the Chrysler. I had done my research on the Chrysler by going over to VIN checker for a check at the accuracy of the car. Because of the detailed data there I found that my Chrysler was one of a kind!

I entered my car and took first place! | was completely amazed still in shock that my little old Chrysler was the star of the show. Next year I'll start preparing earlier.

1973 Was a Good Year For Dodge : Or Reliving Your Youth My Collector Car

Sunday, January 4th, 2009

Now is the time to find a car you enjoy! Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of excellent Dodges out there. Buy a Dodge now before the price goes up! You won't regret it.

I can't believe we have to put our baby away for the winter.
Mary and I have depended on our 1973 Dodge now for I think six years. In that time we've been very happy with the car. Our condo is in northern Iowa, near Ely, and we enjoy touring in the car during the summer months. Overall I'd say it's a great vehicle for the money.

Almost from the minute we received the Dodge we've been driving up a storm. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my relatives in Ohio numerous times without any issues. The Dodge does Ok on gas and has not given us a lot issues in terms of service.

The Dodge is in driving condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past 19 years. Our previous car, a Smart, had plenty of breakdowns and we weren't unhappy to sell it off.

The first order of the day was to insure the vehicle. For our classic car insurance quotations we went with a company called American Hobbyist Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on insurance reviews. It's a great web site for finding the best price on insurance for collector cars. We insured the Dodge for half of what Prudential wanted.

We've very happy with our Dodge. While 1973 was a long time ago, our car helps us enjoy those feelings.
