Time has flown this car-driving season.
Jason and I have lived with our 1967 Cougar now for probably 5 years. Overall we've been living well with the car. Our cottage is in rural Oklahoma, near Collinsville - (HR), and we enjoy driving the car during the fall months. My opinion is I'd say it's a great toy for the money.
Ever since we bought the Cougar we've been driving up a storm. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting our uncle in New York numerous times over the year. The Cougar does Ok on gas and has not given us a lot problems in terms of service.
The Cougar is in perfect shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past twenty-two years. Our previous car, a Lincoln, had plenty of issues and we weren't unhappy to sell it off.
It was stressed to me to insure the vehicle. For our antique collector car insurance we went with a company called CHROME Specialty Car Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on classic car insurance. It's a great web site for finding the best offer on car insurance. We insured the Cougar for a fraction of what Geico wanted.
I don't regret for a minute buying our Cougar. While 1967 was not freshest in my memory, our car helps us relive those days.
