Winter is soon upon us.
Oliva and I have owned our 1971 vintage car now for around nine years. I'm glad to report we've been thrilled with the car. Our house is in eastern South Dakota, near White River, and we enjoy driving in the car during the hotter months. Our opinion is I'd say it's an awesome toy for the money.
Ever since we bought the vintage car we've been on the road. We drove to visit my college roommate in Mississippi several times over the year. The vintage car does great on gas and has not given us alot issues in terms of service.
The vintage car is in rare form, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past 20 years. Our previous car, a Nissan, had plenty of headaches and we weren't unhappy to scrap it.
It was important to get insurance on the vehicle. For our hagerty classic car insurance we went with a company called Haggerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique cars. It's a cool place for finding the best price on classic car insurance. We insured the vintage car for a sliver of what Nationwide wanted.
It was a good investment purchasing our vintage car. While 1971 was not freshest in my memory, our car helps us redo those days.
