1967 Was a Good Year For Nova : Or Cruising Again in My Custom Car

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of cheap Novas out there. Buy a Nova now before the price goes up! You won't be sorry.

It's been a great year.
Michael and I have owned our 1967 Nova now for just about nine years. In that time we've been happy with the car. We live in western Alabama, near Russellville, and we enjoy touring in the car during the hotter months. My opinion is I'd say it's a particlarly great vehicle for the money.

From the day we picked up the Nova we've been behind the wheel. We took it out for a spin to see our college roommate in Georgia numerous times with no problems whatsoever. The Nova does well on gas and has not given us many issues in terms of repair.

The Nova is in great shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past 20 years. Our previous car, a Scion, had plenty of problems and we weren't unhappy to scrap it.

We made sure we went to insure the vehicle. For our muscle car insurance we went with a company called Leland-West. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique car insurance. It's a great web site for finding the best deal on custom car insurance. We insured the Nova for a fraction of what State Farm wanted.

It was a good investment purchasing our Nova. While 1967 was ages ago, our car helps us recapture those feelings.

My wife and I Entered the 1956 Oldsmobile in a Cruise-in and Took First Place

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

I took a club-sponsored car show here in Cotati, California. It was run by the local Chief of Police by the name of Theodore Vireday. The Chief of Police is a motorhead from way back, having a small part in the film "Ya lyublyu tebya". A love of cars was developed over the years.

I entered my 1956 Oldsmobile in the car show with the intention of getting a trophy. I spent 2 days getting the Oldsmobile. I had done my research on the Oldsmobile by going over to vin number checker for a check at the accuracy of the car. Because of the detailed data there I found that my Oldsmobile was a collector car!

My car won best of class! | was completely shocked that my little old Oldsmobile drew so much attention. Next year I might enter it in a state-wide show.

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

I took a local show and shine here in University Place, Washington. It was run by the local Judge by the name of Richard Salazar. The Judge is a movie fan from way back, having a small part in the film "M.A. Numminen Turns Rabbit - The Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Rabbits". A love of cars was developed over the years.

I entered my 1958 Packard in the car show with the intention of getting a trophy. I spent four hours getting the Packard. I had done my research on the Packard by going over to VIN decoder for a check at the accuracy of the car. After considerable research there I found that my Packard was one of a kind!

My car won best of class! | was in total shock that my little old Packard was so well received. Next year I might go for a national championship.
