1967 Was a Good Year For Bel Air : Or Cruising Again in My Custom Car
Friday, September 26th, 2008The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of cheap Bel Airs out there. Buy a Bel Air now before the price goes up! You won't be sorry.
I've had too much fun to mention :).
Cora and I have lived with our 1967 Bel Air now for probably 8 years. Truth be told we've been living well with the car. The house is in northern South Dakota, near Arlington, and we enjoy touring in the car during the spring months. Our opinion is I'd say it's an awesome vehicle for the money.
Ever since we bought the Bel Air we've been enjoying it heartily. We took it out for a spin to see my aunt in New Mexico many times over the year. The Bel Air does Ok on gas and has not given us alot problems in terms of service.
The Bel Air is in tip top shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past 19 years. Our previous car, a Aston Martin, had plenty of heartaches and we weren't sad to scrap it.
It was very important to insure the vehicle. For our muscle car car insurance we went with a company called Classic Collectors Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on muscle car insurance. It's a cool place for finding the best deal on specialty car insurance. We insured the Bel Air for half of what Nationwide wanted.
I don't regret for a minute buying our Bel Air. While 1967 was a completely different age for cars, our car helps us redo those days.
