1973 Was a Good Year For VW : Or Reliving Your Youth My Classic Car

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Now is the time to find a car you enjoy! Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of cheap VWs out there. Buy a VW now before the price goes up! You won't regret it.

We're already looking forward to next year.
Earl and I have owned our 1973 VW now for probably seven years. I'm glad to report we've been content with the car. The house is in urban Alabama, near Sardis City, and we love touring in the car during the spring months. My opinion is I'd say it's an awesome toy for the money.

Ever since we bought the VW we've been behind the wheel. We drove to visit my husband's college roommate in California several times with no problems whatsoever. The VW does Ok on gas and has not given us alot problems in terms of service.

The VW is in excellent condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past twenty-one years. Our previous car, a Lexus, had plenty of issues and we weren't sad to see it go.

The first order of the day was to get insurance on the vehicle. For our classic car insurance for young drivers in usa we went with a company called Hagerty Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique car insurance. It's an authority site for finding the best offer on custom car insurance. We insured the VW for a sliver of what Geico wanted.

It was a good investment purchasing our VW. While 1973 was ages ago, our car helps us relive those bygone days.
