We've had fun this year.
Diana and I have depended on our 1970 Super Bee now for probably 5 years. Truth be told we've been very happy with the car. Our house is in southern California, near Montebello, and we enjoy touring in the car during the summer months. My opinion is I'd say it's an awesome ride for the money.
Almost from the minute we received the Super Bee we've been driving up a storm. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my husband's sister in Mississippi several times over the year. The Super Bee does poorly on gas and has not given us alot issues in terms of service.
The Super Bee is in tip top shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past 23 years. Our previous car, a Abarth, had plenty of problems and we weren't depressed to scrap it.
It was very important to get insurance on the vehicle. For our hagarty antique car insurance we went with a company called Haggerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique car insurance. It's an awesome resource for finding the lowest cost on specialty car insurance. We insured the Super Bee for a sliver of what Nationwide wanted.
I don't regret for a minute buying our Super Bee. While 1970 was just a blur to me, our car helps us relive those bygone days.
