It's been a great year.
Anthony and I have had our 1969 AMX now for probably 7 years. In that time we've been very happy with the car. The apartment where we live is in rural Idaho, near Ammon, and we love driving the car during the hotter months. My opinion is I'd say it's a brilliant ride for the money.
During the time we've owned the AMX we've been all over the country. We took it out for a spin to see our mother in New York numerous times over the year. The AMX does poorly on gas and has not given us alot problems in terms of service.
The AMX is in great shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past twenty years. Our previous car, a Alfa Romeo, had plenty of problems and we weren't unhappy to sell it off.
It was important to insure the vehicle. For our no mileage limit classic car insurance we went with a company called Haggerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique car insurance. It's an awesome resource for finding the lowest cost on insurance for classic cars. We insured the AMX for 30% of what our regular insurance company wanted.
We've very happy with our AMX. While 1969 was ages ago, our car helps us enjoy those feelings.
