True Story: My 1955 Mercury in a Local Show and Saw My Future

Monday, September 15th, 2008

My wife and I entered a small car show here in Mount Carmel Junction, Utah. It was run by the local Judge by the name of Williams Schill. The Judge is a car fanatic from way back, having a small part in the film "Racek má zpozdení". A love of cars was grown slowly.

I entered my 1955 Mercury in the cruise with the dream of impressing my friends :). I spent 3 hours getting the Mercury. I had done my car history search on the Mercury by going over to VIN checker for a check at the accuracy of the car. Based on the excellent information I found that my Mercury was exceedingly rare!

I couldn't believe it...my car won first place! | was completely amazed still in shock that my little old Mercury had so many people hanging around it. Next year will be even bigger.

1966 Was a Good Year For vintage car : Or Enjoying History in My Collector Car

Monday, September 15th, 2008

The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of good priced vintage cars out there. Buy a vintage car now before the price goes up! You won't regret it.

I've had too much fun to mention :).
Jenny and I have owned our 1966 vintage car now for probably 4 years. For that length of time we've been living well with the car. The climate is fair in northern Wisconsin, near New Richmond, and we enjoy driving in the car during the fall months. Our opinion is I'd say it's a stunning car for the money.

During the time we've owned the vintage car we've been on the road. We took it out for a spin to see my mother in West Virginia numerous times with no problems whatsoever. The vintage car does well on gas and has not given us a lot problems in terms of maintenance.

The vintage car is in perfect shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past 23 years. Our previous car, a Scania, had plenty of breakdowns and we weren't sad to sell it off.

We made sure we went to insure the vehicle. For our metlife classic car insurance we went with a company called Leland-West. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on insurance reviews. It's a cool place for finding the best deal on collector car insurance. We insured the vintage car for a fraction of what American Family Insurance wanted.

I don't regret for a minute buying our vintage car. While 1966 was not freshest in my memory, our car helps us redo those feelings.

Monday, September 15th, 2008

My friend and I entered a regional vintage car show here in Payson, Utah. It was organized by the local Fire Marshal by the name of Jim Pellet. The Fire Marshal is a movie fan from way back, having a small part in the film "Obmanutye". A love of cars was nurtured slowly.

I entered my 1967 Oldsmobile in the car show with the intention of getting a trophy. I spent 2 hours getting the Oldsmobile. I had done my research on the Oldsmobile by going over to classic car VIN site for a check at the accuracy of the car. After considerable research there I found that my Oldsmobile was very rare!

I entered my car and took first place! | was completely shocked that my little old Oldsmobile was the star of the show. Next year I'll start preparing earlier.
