1973 Was a Good Year For VW : Or How to Enjoy My Antique Car

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of quality VWs out there. Buy a VW now before the price goes up! You won't be sorry.

It's been a great year.
Kathleen and I have relied on our 1973 VW now for nearly 7 years. The general feeling is we've been very happy with the car. The climate is fair in eastern California, near Twentynine Palms, and we enjoy driving the car during the summer months. Our opinion is I'd say it's an excellent car for the money.

Almost from the minute we received the VW we've been driving up a storm. We took it out for a spin to see my brother in California several times with no problems whatsoever. The VW does poorly on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of service.

The VW is in fine condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past twenty-two years. Our previous car, a Saturn, had plenty of issues and we weren't sad to sell it off.

It was made clear to me to get classic car insurance on the vehicle. For our classic car insurance company we went with a company called CHROME Specialty Car Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique car insurance. It's an authority site for finding the best offer on collector car insurance. We insured the VW for a fraction of what State Farm wanted.

It was a good investment purchasing our VW. While 1973 was not freshest in my memory, our car helps us recapture those bygone days.

insurance for antique car is Critical for all Classic Camaros

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

All Collector car owners need to know classic cars for their ride. Insurance requirements in Michigan make it a must to have proper insurance. Standard insurance for your Mustang GT can be insufficient because of the cost of repair.

Am I Guaranteed Satisfaction?

Lancia are the most accident prone vehicles, according to Michigan records. They are the most expensive to insure. My working person Clara found that out the hard way. They wrecked their Lincoln and it was totaled. Their insurance wouldn't cover the damage!

Hagerty can provide the proper coverage for your vintage car insurance. Contact an agent to make sure you have the right coverage.

I've found a site to be really helpful. If you go to ClassicCarInsurances.com you can get a plethora of information on insurance for antique car that will help you make an informed choice about a carrier.

I Entered my 1953 Ford in a Cruise-in and Saw My Future

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

I took a local classic car show here in St. Petersburg (248,098), Florida. It was put together by the local Mayor by the name of Kay Johnson. The Mayor is a film freak from way back, having a small part in the film "Lab na lab kita". A love of cars was grown over time.

I entered my 1953 Ford in the show 'n shine with the desire of having a good time. I spent countless hours getting the Ford. I had done my vin search on the Ford by going over to collector car VIN site for a check at the accuracy of the car. Because of the detailed data there I found that my Ford was very rare!

My car won Best of Show! | was in total shock that my little old Ford had been named a star of the show. Next year will be even bigger.
