1970 Was a Good Year For Super Bee : Or Cruising Again in My Vintage Auto

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

Go out and find that special classic car Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of good condition Super Bees out there. Buy a Super Bee now before the price goes up! You won't regret it.

We've had fun this year.
Diana and I have depended on our 1970 Super Bee now for probably 5 years. Truth be told we've been very happy with the car. Our house is in southern California, near Montebello, and we enjoy touring in the car during the summer months. My opinion is I'd say it's an awesome ride for the money.

Almost from the minute we received the Super Bee we've been driving up a storm. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my husband's sister in Mississippi several times over the year. The Super Bee does poorly on gas and has not given us alot issues in terms of service.

The Super Bee is in tip top shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past 23 years. Our previous car, a Abarth, had plenty of problems and we weren't depressed to scrap it.

It was very important to get insurance on the vehicle. For our hagarty antique car insurance we went with a company called Haggerty. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique car insurance. It's an awesome resource for finding the lowest cost on specialty car insurance. We insured the Super Bee for a sliver of what Nationwide wanted.

I don't regret for a minute buying our Super Bee. While 1970 was just a blur to me, our car helps us relive those bygone days.

True Story: My 1964 Jeep in a Show ‘n Shine and Was Swamped with Questions

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

I took the weekend off and entered a regional vintage car show here in Sycamore, Illinois. It was put together by the local Judge by the name of Lilly Li. The Judge is a car fanatic from way back, having a small part in the film "V podstate jsme normální". A love of cars was nurtured slowly.

I entered my 1964 Jeep in the car show with the hope of having a good time. I spent 3 hours getting the Jeep. I had done my research on the Jeep by going over to VIN search site for a check at the accuracy of the car. Because of the detailed data there I found that my Jeep was very rare!

I ended up taking home a first place trophy! | was completely amazed still in shock that my little old Jeep had been named a star of the show. Next year I might enter it in a state-wide show.
