My wife and I Entered the 1958 Buick in a Regional Competition and Had a Blast

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

My friend and I entered a regional antique car show here in Fort Meade, Florida. It was organized by the local Judge by the name of Ethan Taylor. The Judge is a car fanatic from way back, having a small part in the film "V Festival (TV)". A love of cars was nurtured over the years.

I entered my 1958 Buick in the cruise with the intention of having a good time. I spent two days getting the Buick. I had done my car history search on the Buick by going over to vin number checker for a check at the accuracy of the car. After considerable research there I found that my Buick was very rare!

I ended up taking home a first place trophy! | was totally floored that my little old Buick was so well received. Next year I might enter it in a state-wide show.

1969 Was a Good Year For Jaguar : Or Enjoying History in My Vintage Auto

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Go out and find that special classic car Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of quality Jaguars out there. Buy a Jaguar now before the price goes up! You won't regret it.

Winter is soon upon us.
Bernice and I have depended on our 1969 Jaguar now for just about 3 years. Overall we've been content with the car. Our cottage is in lower Wisconsin, near Neenah, and we love driving in the car during the spring months. My opinion is I'd say it's a particlarly great toy for the money.

Almost from the minute we received the Jaguar we've been behind the wheel. We took it out for a spin to see my husband's sister in Mississippi many times with no problems whatsoever. The Jaguar does well on gas and has not given us alot problems in terms of repair.

The Jaguar is in excellent condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past 23 years. Our previous car, a Renault, had plenty of headaches and we weren't unhappy to get rid of it.

It was very important to get insurance on the vehicle. For our no mileage limit classic car insurance we went with a company called Leland-West. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on antique cars. It's a great web site for finding the best offer on insurance for collector cars. We insured the Jaguar for a sliver of what State Farm wanted.

We've very happy with our Jaguar. While 1969 was a completely different age for cars, our car helps us enjoy those bygone days.
