Time has flown this car-driving season.
Charles and I have relied on our 1973 Mustang now for around three years. The general feeling is we've been living well with the car. Our house is in eastern North Dakota, near Grand Forks - 49,321, and we love touring in the car during the summer months. Our opinion is I'd say it's a stunning vehicle for the money.
From the day we picked up the Mustang we've been on the road. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my wife's college roommate in Oregon many times over the year. The Mustang does great on gas and has not given us many issues in terms of maintenance.
The Mustang is in pristine condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken good care of it over the past twenty years. Our previous car, a SEAT, had plenty of problems and we weren't sad to get rid of it.
It was very important to insure the vehicle. For our classic car insurance company we went with a company called CHROME Specialty Car Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on old cars. It's a cool place for finding the best deal on collector car insurance. We insured the Mustang for a fraction of what Nationwide wanted.
It was a good investment purchasing our Mustang. While 1973 was not freshest in my memory, our car helps us enjoy those feelings.
