We've had fun this year.
Evangeline and I have counted on our 1968 Bel Air now for probably eight years. I'm glad to report we've been content with the car. The house is in northern California, near Indio, and we love touring in the car during the summer months. My opinion is I'd say it's an excellent ride for the money.
Ever since we bought the Bel Air we've been behind the wheel. We took it out for a spin to see our relatives in Virginia numerous times with no problems whatsoever. The Bel Air does poorly on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of maintenance.
The Bel Air is in tip top shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past twenty-two years. Our previous car, a MG, had plenty of headaches and we weren't unhappy to scrap it.
It was very important to insure the vehicle. For our no mileage limit classic car insurance we went with a company called Sneed Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on classic cars. It's an authority site for finding the lowest cost on hot rod insurance. We insured the Bel Air for a sliver of what State Farm wanted.
We've very happy with our Bel Air. While 1968 was a long time ago, our car helps us recapture those days.
