1968 Was a Good Year For Bel Air : Or My Nightly Cruise in My Classic Car

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

The classic car of your dreams is out there Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of quality Bel Airs out there. Buy a Bel Air now before the price goes up! You won't be sorry.

We've had fun this year.
Evangeline and I have counted on our 1968 Bel Air now for probably eight years. I'm glad to report we've been content with the car. The house is in northern California, near Indio, and we love touring in the car during the summer months. My opinion is I'd say it's an excellent ride for the money.

Ever since we bought the Bel Air we've been behind the wheel. We took it out for a spin to see our relatives in Virginia numerous times with no problems whatsoever. The Bel Air does poorly on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of maintenance.

The Bel Air is in tip top shape, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken it upon themselves to fix it up over the past twenty-two years. Our previous car, a MG, had plenty of headaches and we weren't unhappy to scrap it.

It was very important to insure the vehicle. For our no mileage limit classic car insurance we went with a company called Sneed Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on classic cars. It's an authority site for finding the lowest cost on hot rod insurance. We insured the Bel Air for a sliver of what State Farm wanted.

We've very happy with our Bel Air. While 1968 was a long time ago, our car helps us recapture those days.

antique car insurance online quotes is Important for all Vintage Cars

Any classic car owner need to understand classic cars for their baby. Insurance requirements in Texas make it manditory to have proper insurance. Standard insurance for your Camaro SS can be expensive because of the cost of repair.

How Expensive Can it Be?

Audi are the most accident prone vehicles, according to Texas records. They are the most expensive to insure. My bartender David found that out the hard way. They wrecked their Xiali and it was totaled. Their insurance wouldn't cover the damage!

American Classic Insurance can provide the proper coverage for your auto insurance. Contact an agent to make sure you have adequate coverage.

I've found a site to be really helpful. If you go to ClassicCarInsurances.com you can get a heap of information on antique car insurance online quotes that will help you make an informed choice about a carrier.

2010 Chevy Camaros - The Pony Car Trio Is Complete!

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

With the coming of the new Chevy Camaro later this year the pony car trio is complete: Camaro vs. Mustang vs. Challenger!  I think it's the last hurrah for American Muscle since the times are changing with high gas prices and CAFE forcing car makers to up their MPGs and emission standards.  Still it's a good time to enjoy what we have.

The new Camaro looks sweet but I've heard of issues with the standard Chevy interiors being cheap.  Honestly this has been a problem for years.  Even the Corvettes have suffered from low-quality interiors.  I hope Chevy gets their act together and does a better job in the future...
