1967 Was a Good Year For MG A : Or Having Fun in My Antique Car

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

Now is the time to find a car you enjoy! Go out and don't hesitate, there's a world of good condition MG As out there. Buy a MG A now before the price goes up! You won't regret it.

Time has flown this car-driving season.
John and I have lived with our 1967 MG A now for just about 6 years. In that time we've been happy with the car. The condo is in rural Alabama, near Cook Springs, and we enjoy touring in the car during the hotter months. Our opinion is I'd say it's a particlarly great ride for the money.

Almost from the minute we received the MG A we've been all over the country. My whole family made a weekend out of visiting my aunt in Kansas several times with no problems whatsoever. The MG A does poorly on gas and has not given us many problems in terms of service.

The MG A is in pristine condition, having been restored in the last two years. The previous owners seem to have taken excellent care of the car over the past several years. Our previous car, a Lada, had plenty of breakdowns and we weren't sad to scrap it.

It was very important to get insurance on the vehicle. For our muscle car insurance we went with a company called CHROME Specialty Car Insurance. We signed up for the policy completely online, using their excellent web site. We found the company by reviewing the information on insurance reviews. It's a great web site for finding the lowest cost on hot rod insurance. We insured the MG A for 30% of what Geico wanted.

It was a good investment purchasing our MG A. While 1967 was a long time ago, our car helps us relive those feelings.
